Five typical application skills of AutoCAD
AutoCAD is undoubtedly the most widely used in computer-aided design software, and every engineering and technical personnel has some own use experience. Some of these experiences are not easy to get directly from books, nor can they be found by themselves. The following introduces some teaching experience and skills accumulated by the author over the years. Reasonable use of these skills in practical application can greatly improve the efficiency and quality of drawing
first, use the grip command
when using the grip command, many people only regard this command as a simple repetition of single commands such as stretch (pull 1, the end face of the working piston is the extension of the working surface bearing pressure oil), move (move), rotate (rotate), scale (zoom) and mirror (mirror). In fact, if the rich methods in this command are flexibly used and cleverly combined, the drawing efficiency can be greatly improved. Based on the strong practicality of AutoCAD, figure 1 is taken as an example to illustrate the ingenious use of grip commands. The steps are as follows:
1 Make a semicircle with a diameter of 1
2. In the command state, pick the semicircle, activate the left or right endpoint as the key point, and when the command line prompts you to stretch, press enter three times to zoom, select the copy option, and enter the scaling factors 1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 4/6, and 5/6 in turn
3. Again, use the rotation and copy in the grip command to rotate the figure drawn in the previous two steps by 180 °. (Note: at this time, the key point is the center of a semicircle with a diameter of 1)

II. The application of the rectangular rounding (straight) angle command
AutoCAD creates a rectangle, which is generally completed by directly entering the value of length and width or selecting the endpoint. In fact, you can also use the method of rounding right angles or corners in the rectangle command to draw figures with right angles or corners efficiently and quickly. After clicking the "Rectangle" button or entering the "REC" command, first select the "F" or "C" parameter according to the prompt, determine the fillet radius or right angle distance, and then enter the length and width of the rectangle. Now take Figure 2, who also likes other aspects of artistic creation, as an example to illustrate the clever use of the rectangular rounding (straight) angle command
1. Click the "Rectangle" button or enter "REC"
2. Select the "F" parameter according to the prompt, and enter the radius of 10
3. After specifying the first corner, enter the relative coordinates of the length and width of the rectangle, that is "@40, 20"
only the gold free spraying team has adopted the effect of special structure powder and unique powder surface treatment process. A hydraulic universal experimental machine is mainly used for metal commands to draw such complex graphics, which greatly saves drawing time

III. table processing
autocad has powerful graphic functions, but the table processing function is weak. In practical work, it is often necessary to make tables in AutoCAD, such as the title block of large assembly drawings. Users usually draw tables by drawing lines, then fill in words in the tables, or insert word or excel tables by linking and embedding. These two methods are not only inefficient and troublesome to modify, but also difficult to accurately control the text position, and it is not easy to input special symbols. The treatment method used by the author is as follows:
1 Make tables in Excel or word, and fill the contents of the tables according to AutoCAD font requirements
2. Copy the prepared form to the clipboard
3. Enter the AutoCAD interface, select "paste special" in the "Edit" menu, select "AutoCAD entities" in the dialog box that appears (see Figure 3), and click the "OK" button, and the table will be converted to AutoCAD entity

4 Use the "explode" command to decompose this AutoCAD entity, and the table contents or table lines as required. The effect of the table processed by the above method in AutoCAD is shown in Figure 4 below

IV. Chinese and Western text high processing
when AutoCAD arranges Chinese and Western languages, the western language is relatively high and the Chinese language is relatively short, which looks very ugly. The reason is that for words of the same height, different measurement methods are used in the generation of Chinese and Western character modules. Here the author provides a solution for your reference: in the font library provided by the simplified Chinese version of AutoCAD, Chinese is a long imitation Song Dynasty font x created in accordance with the relevant national standards. In order to match this Chinese font, two matching, shorter Western Font X and X are created. Therefore, when the Chinese and Western languages are mixed, as long as the above font is selected, the written text will be more beautiful and conform to the national standard. The effect is shown in Figure 5

v. tolerance annotation skills
in mechanical design engineering drawings, tolerance annotation is a basic requirement, but the dimensional tolerance annotation steps provided by AutoCAD are cumbersome. It needs to establish a "tolerance dimension style" in the "dimension style manager", and then pre-set the relevant parameters such as upper and lower deviations in the "tolerance" and "primary unit" options. Each dimension of a different dimension tolerance should be returned to the "dimension style manager" for setting, and only the limit deviation can be marked. For dimensions to be marked with tolerance code and limit deviation at the same time, such as Ф 35h8 (+0.039^0), there is nothing to do. The author provides the following simple and easy methods to mark such complex tolerances:
1 Click the "line marking" button or enter the command "DLI"
2. Select the "m" parameter according to the prompt that appears
3. In the "character" tab of the multiline writer dialog box that appears, delete "" (original size), enter "%%c35h8 (+0.039^0)" (note that "^" is inserted to separate the upper and lower deviation), drag the mouse to select "+0.039^0", and click the (b/a) (stack/remove stack) button, as shown in Figure 6
